The Starkey Hearing Foundation
Delta Zeta's national philanthropy is The Speech & Hearing Impaired. Delta Zeta has a national partnership focused on speech and hearing-related causes with the Starkey Hearing Foundation. The Starkey Hearing Foundation has a mission to change the social consciousness of hearing through education and research while also providing the gift of hearing to those in need around the world.
Big Man on Campus
​Big Man on Campus is Delta Zeta's big fall philanthropy event. It is a male beauty pageant that includes an auction of the participants at the end of the show. During the Big Man of Fall 2023, Delta Zeta raised $3,470 for our philanthropies. Thank you to everyone who participated, and congratulations to our winners!
The School for the Deaf and Blind
In the past years Delta Zeta has found a wonderful local Philanthropy, The School for the Deaf and Blind, located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This school was founded on these principles: to ensure that the individuals we serve realize maximum success through high-quality educational programs, outreach services, and partnerships. Lambda Sigma recognized these efforts and wanted to help in whatever way possible.
Set Hut for Hearing
Set Hut for Hearing was a powderpuff football tournament that we hosted in April that benefited our philanthropy speech and hearing impaired. Our chapter raised $2,567 that went towards our philanthropy partners starkey hearing foundation, South Carolina school for the Deaf and Blind, and Delta Zeta foundation.
Adopt-a-Highway
Delta Zeta participates in a program called Adopt-a-Highway. Sisters pick up trash along Celenese Road multiple times throughout the semester. We find it important to keep our community and city a clean and safe environment!
